Yes, you heard me. A V-6 2000 Mustang 5spd. One of the fastest cars i've been in. He has a superchip, dual exhausts, CAI, aaaand I think that's it. Anyways, he took me for a drive...all I have to say is I will never talk 'ish about another V-6 mustang again. ( ) but seriously, he smoked out off the line, and man when he switched gears we squeeeled and it threw me back in my seat bad. The next day my neck was sore!

Anyways, I am wonderin' if any of you 5spd guys can do this...smoke your tires and squeel through the gears ? This mustang kid would take out alot of 5spd Max's....

My friend did that all the time. He makes a civic look faster than my Maxima. His 80s Camry is super fast. It just seems that way. The way he drives.

YES.....

I can definitely chirp in 2nd... I can even burn in 1st without any clutch work, just mashing on the gas when I'm rolling.

I can sqeal 1-2 but thats about it. The way the person drives, how the car sounds, has a big impact on how it feels. And mainly when you only ride in it once.

it doesnt matter if the car can chirp going into gear... any auto here with some mods and a VB can do that.. its just... when you're in gear... how much power you got then?

im sorry... v6 mustangs are not that fast, and why is he wasting his time modding a v6 stang? shoulda got a v8...

Just don't take that stang down a tight curvy road... you can have all the speed you want, but it's a bad thing when a civic is all over you in the turns... go watch some GT races and see the little audi's eat up a C5-R.

i can chirp 2nd gear in my automatic. whats the big deal? i can do it in my 87' integra too. i believe the TQ fooled you to think his car is the fastest car on the planet. and FYI if you think that mustang is the fastest thing in the world. you haven't been in a fast car b4...

with my ACT clutch...I get rubber into second...AND third...EVEN at the track....I have videos of my track runs and you can hear the chirp into third....I just don't have a program that will take them from the camera and put them on the computer....

V6 stangs are WEAK....my brother beats on those things in his '98 Grand Prix GT......no...not GTP...just plain 3800 Series II.
If that's the fastest car you've ever been in..you need to find some new buddies with faster cars....

BTW...my buddy in his Ford Festiva 5-speed could make my neck sore....simply because he drove like a moron....

Enough bashing

Damn, you guys can get ugly. I don't think he was being literal when he said it was the fastest thing on earth. I just think he was impressed with the fact it was a 6 cyl mustang with some nuts...
BTW did it havea pair hanging fom the rear bumper? you know the plastic ones that someone posted about.?

Anyhow, I don't drive an automatic but I would have to hear or see a movie with one chirping in to 3rd. You would have to have the worst tires in the world or running NOS/SC under your hood. I don't think that the maxima automatic has the TQ to do that into 3rd.

Very true. V6 Mustangs are not fast. If you live near me, you'll have to take a ride in my 1995 Trans Am before I get rid of it Saturday. 310rwhp and 330rwtq. Spinning through 2 gears is no problem and a very nice chirp into 3rd can be done by the least skilled of drivers. Due to the amount of tickets and trouble I get in, it is time to let it go. I have decided on a 95 Maxima SE and I'm sure it will be very hard going to 15 sec. car rather than my best of 13.2 with the Trans Am.

Is it an auto or 5 speed? The speeds are high 14 second cars stock.

i saw a V6 mustang on the highway two nights ago, had flowmaster stickers on it, dual exhaust... even with only an intake, i easily took him, especially after 80 or so. i was impressed for its attempt, but really dont think it was a fast car.

Thank you bro. No, I was NOT being literal guys. This is the new style stang with a 5spd manual tranny. He has a superchip (33HP), dual exhausts (7HP) and CAI (8HP). So he is running close to 250HP. He is also a skilled shifter. The torque probubly is what so un-expectedly threw me back in my seat, but I know for a fact he would be tough competition for alot of people here. He is also getting headers, an X-pipe, and short throw in the future.

Nope. We are located in central florida, the sanford area.

I agree. I don't see how an automatic can chirp even second without the VB upgrade. The shifts are just not strong like a manual...I have a '95 with pop-charger and have yet to even squeek into second. (I am getting CAI, Y-pipe, and dual cat-back exhaust soon, maybe those will help?)

Anyways fella's, stock for stock, a 2000 V-6 5spd 'stang is only .4 slower than a 5spd 4th gen. And he's definatally not stock.

Oh, and yes, V-6 mustang automagics ARE slow.

Even though I hate stang's I do give the NEW a little credit. With the right driver that knows the shift points they are pretty fast.

A newer model modded 5spd V6 Mustang is fast? lol...seriously, if you really think that, you haven't been in a fast car. Yes, I have raced more than a few modded 5spd V6 Mustangs and beat them. That was before my SC. With my SC, of course I killed them. Even the GTs are no problem for me now with the SC. If you think the V6 Mustangs are fast, you should ride in a Cobra. I also rode in a 600hp SupraTT, now that sucker IS fast. Sorry but if you really think the V6 Mustangs are fast, you need to get out more.

THeres a differece between felling fast and being fast, just cause you can chrip doesnt mean your fast, on the same token, you could have so really nice tires say P-zero's and no chirp but blow people away, as far as it "throwing you back in your seat" that is probly from some crap *** suspension making the car lean back. SO you see, we can still talk **** about the Ford's

Belive it or not, it's true. The guy tested it when he put it in. It seems that every car besides the 4th gen maxima can get good gains outta the ECU upgrade.
