Knock Sensor MPG

In replacing a faulty knock sensor, what is reasonable to expect in terms of improved gas mileage? Percentage or mpg, town or highway? thanks.

Depends on the general condition of the engine, and whether the KS was in fact bad. You should be pleased with the gains.

i had often tripped an KS code b4 with o2 codes, now I was getting just the KS code. The car is a 97, it was the original KS with 190xxxkm so I'm thinking this new one was warranted. There is a great how-to on YouTube using a universal ratchet joint and an extension. Nipped it all in under 30mins, now hoping the mileage will go up big time...
