K&N Air Filter Question - Stillen Pop/JWT Pop

Hi. I have the Stillen Pop and was wondering how often everyone cleans it? I have done it every 10,000 miles, but I think I will switch to every 5,000...I am just wondering what everyone else does. Also, do you think it would fit at the end of the CAI, I might buy one and I am very happy with the Stillen Filter...

Thanks,
Erik

K & N suggests that you clean it every 50k miles. A little less if you're in a dusty location.

Thats why I am asking. Last time I cleaned it, it took 2 good washes to get it back to semi-white....I can't imagine we are supposed to wait untill it is that dirty. I had the filter out for cleaning for 5 hours...it takes a while to dry...glad I started on a Sunday night.
