Performance Chips Direct
Performance Chips Direct
i was looking online and came across this site:
http://www.performancechipsdirect.com/unlock-hp.html
http://www.performancechipsdirect.co...stallation.pdf
i know that performance chip threads have been beaten like a red headed step child - but couldn't find anything on this, and i was interested if anyone was familiar with this product.
I called and they guarantee their product and if you are unhappy with the results you have 2 weeks to return for full refund.
anyone use this or hear of it? any results?

dude, NO!
you can go to radioshack and buy ten 1.5 k ohm resistors for $1.15 thats a rip off and if you have a cat the resistor will kill it along with your o2s. BAD NEWS
the first link "looked" like a chip but i dont know

ok, so i read and read about this product and came to this conclusion;
the IAT intake air temp sensor does this/ it calculates the air fuel ratio by a thermistor (temp sensor) the hotter it is the higher the resistance the colder the lower the resistance.
that being said the "chip" (its a resistor) keeps a steady resistance it does not fluctuate with the actual temperature this make your a/f ratio rich at all times. THIS IS NOT GOOD. although it does make your car faster by increasing the pulse width of your injectors to overcome for the colder dense air the truth is the air is not dense and most of the fuel is going directly into you cat and on your o2s.
if you want to destroy your expensive engine parts that much only spend two dollars at radioshack.
