Stock Toyo tires- Any good in snow
#2
The stock Toyos' SUUUUUUUUCK in the snow. Replaced mine at 20k miles
cause winter was coming. Just drive carefully until you can buy tires
with better snow traction. Lowering your tire pressure 2-3 psi should help a little bit for now.

in snow you don't want such a large contact patch & a taller side wall helps to cut thru the snow
best thing to do is the dig deep into your pocket & invest in two snow tires for the front

I was told not to put on two snows in the front as it will not balance the car during sudden stops and may cause the car to spin due to low traction in the back.
Just what I was told.

I haven't driven mine in the snow yet but does 50 pounds or so of rock salt or sand in the trunk help? On my last vehicle, a rear wheel drive van I could not get through the winter without 200 pounds over the rear axle.
