Starter Question

Anyone know if a 2002-2003 starter fits my 1999? I heard the newer model starters spin the motor faster and just wondering if this would fit. I believe it doesn't matter if auto or manual. Correct me if I'm wrong!! TIA.

i just put a 2001 starter on my 96..works fine
