(ign2) 15A blower, fuse burnt tail lights dont work need help!
so i got pulled over last night for my lights completely being out. tail lights license plate lights, but brake lights still come on and my headlights work. i checked the fuses and all of them were good except for the (IGn2) 15A blower , i change the fuse and eveything was fixed for only about 10 minutes until it burned out again. Now my cluster lights dont work, but all the fuses are fine still. but the other day ive noticed something burning from the hood i payed no mind to it, becasue my radiator is slighty cracked at the top so raditor fluid spills out and it smokes a little but it doesnt smoke like how i saw it a couple of days ago., and it doesnt work by the way a/c works but no heat and recently right after that ive been getting shocked when i go into my car or when im getting ready to get out of my car. weird maybe its a sign or its telling me it has a problem. It might be the ignition switch which i hope because its easy to fix, but any ideas what it might be if it doesnt turn out to be the ignition switch?

U install any electronics recently? Make sure any loose or open wires are taped off with electrical tape to prevent shorting.
Clean your grounds and add one from the engine to a ground point.
U may need to get behind the fuse panel and start tracing iwres looking for shorts.
What makes u think ignition switch. Its easy to replace and inexpensive too but i dont think thats the problem. But the circuit for the tail lights is the same circuit for the radio and dash lights. u have a open wire somewhere and u need to tape it off.

ok good timing dude i was just on my way to the junkyard to find a switch, yea the only thing is that my battery terminals were bad and the mechanic shop cut them off and they put new ones on but they didnt seem to do a good enough job i think, they did it really fast, but i do have a sub connected to it maybe something is loose there.

oh just to add when they did cut my terminals off they failed to notice that i had my audio wire and they cut that too and they did some hot wire crap to it maybe ima need to replace they whole battery cable to the starter and get a new one.

that shouldnt cause the dash lights to not work. U blowing the fuse for the tails, and dash. U have a short somewhere in that circuit
Unless u other issues other than what u mentioned in the original post.

Check the associated lights sockets, expecially the tail lights. I've seen corrosion short out a tail light and cause the fuse to keep blowing. Don't forget the front side markers (next to the headlights) too.

I posted a thread faily similar to this a few weeks ago. The issue ended up being that the tail light bulb filaments melted together and caused a short, so check your bulbs as well. I know I was mad when I realized how simple the problem was.

The harness that has the tail light wires. I don't know exactly how it is routed in the trunk, but start at your tail lights and follow the wires. Check carefully when the harness goes through a clip or over an edge. The taillight wire is red with a blue stripe.
Also, check the front and rear side marker lights as well as the front parking lamps. They are on the same fuse as the tail lights.

Ok finally got an answer to this, it endded up being a wire for the side marker that was cut off some how, i checked mt\y fuse box under the hood and the fuse was blown also. aslo a bulb was blown in the back too. everything works good now and i can finally drive at night again

Generically the information here is valid but there are some specific references that probably will not apply to your car.
