I know which is why I mentioned him!

Hopefully I do get some low end knuck back. Im running a poser sri atm (accordion>maf>filter) and low end took a shot since Im running with my power valve deleted. Deleted my power rod today but I didnt notice any more low end loss but pulls much harder up top. Power delivery is way smoother too. Im at the point where I can sacrifice some top to get some low back No more dual pvc intake without splash shield for me Hydrolockitis FTL. Silver lining, DE-K swap FTW

Do you run your true cai in the snow?

FWIW you may need to cut the very end of the pipe off and make it straight. Im using the same style midpipe on my CAI and it sets crooked

You'll definitely get some low end back!

Yes I do run my CAI in the rain or snow and I've never had any problems. I still have the splash shield down there.

And that midpipe should work without cutting it, I have the chrome version and it's fine. There will be some play in the intake before you tighten everything down so you can adjust it.

I know where it routes to. I just want to drill the hole on the most optimum spot without having to relocate anything. If you have pics of the hole, thatd be great bro!!!!!!!!!

Neither did I. You don't need a template, I did it easily without one and I didn't even have a damn holesaw lol.

Just install the pipe and it'll show you exactly where to cut the hole. If I was able to do it in the rain with a drill, big flathead screwdriver and a hammer you guys can do it lmao.

One thing to help..

try to make the lower pipe not rub the fuse box. Its a PITA to adjust the pipe if its rubbing the bottom corner of the fuse box

I got it in. Havent taken it for a test drive or even turned it over for that matter since I was sealing up vac leaks and will have to let the RTV dry overnight. I used a drill/bit to drill guide holes and finished off the rest with a reciprocating saw. The CAI tube was too short since the previous owner also ran it with an 00vi/DE-K but with a bypass filter. His mustve been a bit longer than mine. So I used some pvc pipe on the filter side of the pipe (fender) to extend it a bit. Luckily I still had all the piping and couplers laying around from my dual intake days. It fits perfectly. The thick rubber PVC coupler is wedged in the hole itself so it fits very snug.

Pics coming in a few days. Thanks everyone for the input.
