Adding a digital temp and compas?

is it possible to add this auto dimming mirrior from the 2k1 altima and put it in my 96 max. I dont have the auto dimming mirror and would like to upgrade so i thought it would be nice to have the compas and temp too. the link is here

If you want the outside temp readout, you've got to get the ambient temp sensor too. For the new TK Altima, the sensor is mounted under the front fascia, on the driver side (lower grille opening). You'll have to worry about mounting, and wiring too.

I believe the digital compass is integrated into the mirror.

If you want me to follow up on it, I actually do design work for the new Altima so I can look into it, but only next year. I'm on vacation now.

There are alternatives...

www.JCWhitney.com makes some auto-dimming mirrors with temp and compass guages built in. The wiring is not hard at all, but you will have to remove your headliner. Let me warn you however, its an expensive product, and you can but the auto-dimming only mirror and save lots of dough.
Later,

Yeah, i would like that, i can wait im in no rush at all. I wouldnt mind mounting some stuff, i dont think it would be all to hard to mount a sensor and do some wiring. BTW i ment to say 2002 alimta if that makes any differenece.

also i checked jcwhitny.com. That stuff is expensive it would come out to like $300 for everything and the light is blue as oppose to the altima one which is $100 less and has green illumination to match my interior for a clean look.
