How do I remove the rear interior door handle

I am switching out one of my rear doors, and I cannot figure out how to get off the interior door handle. I need to switch them b/c my interior is black, so I need to switch this door handle with the one currently in my car. So how do I take it off and put it on? I got the 3 bolts off, but cant figure out how to disconnect the rods from it.

Here is a pic of what im talking about:

You have the bolt out. Slide the whole door handle assembly towards the rear of the car. You may have to tap it with something. It'll only slide back maybe half an inch. After that just pull it away from the door, detatch the rods and thats it.

okay, any ideas as to how to detach the rods? I can slide it back and pull the assembly away from the door, but the rods are still connected. How do I get in there to detach the rods? Im currently trying to push and pry them out w/ a flathead.

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks for the help!
