Need to Re-Attach Maxima letters

So after a few months of going without the Maxima letters or the Nissan Badge on the back of the Maxima, I figured it would look better if i put them back on after painting them black. Only problem is i don't know what kind of adhesive to use and the old adhesive is mostly gone.

3M adhesive

You should get some adhesive remover to clean the old adhesive off, then use THIS on the new ones. Should be good to go.

Buy the 3M trim double sided tape only. There is a difference and 3M is superior. The same goes with most 3M products such as spray adhesive and such.

1. Not permanent that way.

2. That is how the badges were applied originally.

The dealer superglued mine on back in 95 (mom is original owner) after they ordered the wrong color emblems and had to change them. When I debadged the car a year ago, I wasn't even able to get the superglue off.

Don't glue them on.

3m tape is not permanent, its easier to remove than what comes factory, and sticks just as well. If you search, everything is going to say 3M double sided tape with RED plastic on tape

Dont glue your emblems on OP. Get the 3m tape with red backing, dont get the green backing (your emblems will fall off at the first wash)

if your car has a coat of wax on it, it may be a good idea to strip the wax off.
tide or dish soap works great

no need for this either. Clean the surface, then stick the emblems on. Dont wet the area for like a week
