i have the greddy. nice low tone to it. there is a little bit of a droning sound around highway speeds. It doesnt bother me though.

I have heard the Apexi is quieter, but i have never ridden in a car with one

why are you getting a catback if you don't plan on getting a y-pipe ? the catback won't flow any better without a good y-pipe to help. The catback alone will give almost no power gains at all - a y pipe would give you 15hp or more.

if you are only interested with the looks and sound then just get a muffler because a catback is not worth the money in that case.

so you guys are saying that there is no point of getting catback unless i get y-pipe? correct? help me out here. i don't wanna spend like 800 on exhaust setup. so if i just want the looks and sound just go wit universal muffler? or having catback would be fine(without y-pipe). thanks

Tae you will always gain power from a cat-back, but just not a whole lot without a y-pipe. As far as sound and looks when we do the leather we will take my car for a run, maybe than you can give brian a call and check his **** out. I love my greddy, it sounds and looks great.

Do it right, if you can afford it, get the catback. I know you are saying "I'm not interested in power", but as any org member will tell you, once you start with one mod, feeling the power and the sound, you'll be thinking....mmmm, should I get the Cold Air Intake or a Y-pipe?

I thought the same, I'll just get a few mods, now all I think I have left is a Supercharger

This stuff is worse than crack. The only thing that will stop you is money!

IO have riden in Maximas that have both of them. Maximarider had a Greddy on his 95. It sounded nice and pretty quiet. ONce he pput the y-pipe on, it was loud.

I also rode in Wicked1044's Maxima. He has teh apexi. This was really quiet. It was like there was no exhaust on it.

If you dont care about hp gains, you should look into a universal muffler and have a exhaust shop install it. Its WAY cheaper then catback. I mean you can get a nice looking muffler that sounds throaty for $100-$180. Install on a muffler should be around $60.

This is very true. But for some they just keep saving up enough for the next mod then gone again. It is insanity though.

My exhaust setup cost are as fallow
y-pipe: $399
rt cat: $160
cat-back: $489
As far as suspension, I have the eibach and tokico setup and I love it. The drop is not too low, but the car is stiff, which is what I like.

IF you get the greddy exhaust it comes with the catback pipe the b pipe and the muffler itself. All you have to worry about is what Ypipe you want and a CAI or a regular popcharger intake. Id invest in the Ypipe first vice a Random Tech cat. And when you press on the gas you will notice the gain in HP. The greddy you can get from Custommaxima.com, I paid 615.00 installed they got me good cause I didnt know no better but he has it for for cheaper than that.
