Cruise control mod?

Im looking for a mod to were i can use my cruise control in park to keep the motor revved up. Ive seen a few write ups on just having it always engaged and not having to toggle on and off. Anyone have any useful info?

Cant do it. CC relies on VSS , not RPM to modulate. Without an engine load the CC is to clumsy and floors it. I hit the button once rolling down a hill in neutral and it pegged the tach. Also i school while testing CCs on the lift, it shoots to the moon.

Why would you want the motor revved up in neutral?

I supposed if you really wanted to, you could toggle between VSS and a secondary CKP. It would hunt like a **** and grenade the engine in short order though.

You could set your idle high just for the show, and once you are done you could set it back to normal

I could but moving it in and out of the lanes to meter may be a problem. 2k rpms from P to drive will be a problem

I would be kinda ghetto, but a chrome choke ****/cable attached to your CC cable.

In Oz land Ive heard they use them in the outback for CC.

... There are some really good suggestions.. And Some REALLY crappy ones.

The Idle Air Control Valve.. Everyones favorite toy.

Just set it to 2K. Seriously. Than when moving the car... Set it Back. I know So difficult.

Cheapo solution that wouldn't require to lift up the hood every time if you are lazy would be to run another cable to the TB from the interior. When you need to - pull it, secure it and viola! higher RPM. When done, release the tension and it goes back to normal.

Yes the cable idea is prob the best so far. Nothing to do with laziness as far as popping the hood and turning a screw. But the judges might not like that too much since they will be trying to get thru a few hundred cars a day

Ghetto or not. It may be the most practical.
