Greddy SP2

Will a 97-99 Greddy SP2 Catback bolt onto a 96 Maxima? If no what kind of modification would need to be done? Thanks.

Yes, but the tip will stick out. If you want a 96 specific rear section, i'll trade you my 96 sp2, for your 97-99 sp2.

haha that would be awesome if you were closer to me. So only difference is the tip sticking out? The o2 sensors will all match up?

if you're a 95-96 all you gotta do is plug the o2 hole in the bpipe.

Sweet thanks! I guess I'll be attempting to install it tomorrow after I pick it up. Who wants to help!

Yep, exactly as others here have posted. I have an SP2 from a 97 on my 95 SE. Only differences were the length (about 1" longer, so you have to be careful about getting burned on the tip) and the O2 bung being in the B pipe instead of the cat converter. Other than those 2 differences, 97 cat back will fit perfectly on a 95.

It's better than stock. I like how it's not too loud. My bro just got an exhaust for his S4, I think it's way too loud compared to mine.

stock y pipe sounds like crap with the sp2, at least do the y man, you'll like it alot more then that. way too quiet in my opinion. i have a monza catback with a warpspeed y and it sounds pretty good, little droney tho.

Adding a Y pipe to it will open up possibilities of getting the droning aka "bees in a can" sound. I remember buying...but then selling the Warpspeed because i didn't want to deal with all of the headaches and issues I read about on this forum. On top of that, I was getting older and didn't want anything too loud vrooming down the street.

Do a search and you'll see that it will definitely get you HP gains. It all also depends on what you want to do; you told me you wanted to keep it stock for the duration.

Anyhow, good luck! Glad you like the catback

Bees in a can will happen when you use a unlined flex section in the y pipe. I get that with my y pipe, however it's not annoying since im not at WOT all the time.

Droning is what you'll get with an unequal length y pipe, i had that on my sp2. Once I put in my equal length y pipe the droning went away.

Thanks, It is quiet in my opinion as well. Last few days, sounds like it's been getting louder in 3rd and 4th gear. Well see about the Y-pipe. Right now I'm leaning towards the Warpspeed one since majority of the Maxima's on here has it. We'll see though, this is my DD to work, don't want it too loud early in the morning when I'm cranky
