Probably in here somewhere, but I don't have that much time to search. I have been looking at courtesyparts and it seems like extra parts on the diagram that I'm not sure I need.

I am adding springs and struts to my car:

I want to keep my factory ones in tact for resale purpose later. I know I need bushings and strut mounts, but does anyone have a list of exactly what I need before I tackle this. I will be ordering most of it from courtesy and don't want to miss anything.

What you want to do may pose costly. Especially if you buy OEM parts. You can look for aftermarket parts from O'Reilly or RockAuto, of course, not all of the parts can be found via aftermarket.

Here are some cheaper options:

Either A: buy a used set up struts and springs of your choice that are already intact
or
B: Buy a used set oem struts and springs for the parts you need on the new struts you want to buy. I got some for less than $50 if I remember correctly a while back.

 

I jus did the springs and struts on my car.

Your mounts are prolly still good front and rear. My fronts were still good, but i bought them anyways cuz i WANTED all new. They come with a new bearing. The rear mounts were fine so i reused them.

Get the rear bushings and washer, front and rear dust boots, rear dust boot cap.

U can either buy new spring isolators or try to reuse the old ones on the car or u can get spiral wound from radioshack and wrap the springs urself. wrap the top two coils and the bottom coil on each spring.

U dont need to buy the front and rear rubber upper perches. Those are still good.

 

As others have stated. Aftermarket replacement will cost you no deficit. (lol) That is assuming you keep the stock parameters or close to it. Basically, if you do not drop it and keep the same ride quality, OEM/stock is not needed.

 

OEM parts are going to be over $400 IIRC

yeah i kinda was fuzzy on this too. But new coilovers cost well over 700 bucks man. I was lookin at TEIN coilovers when researchin my setup and they were at least 850.

I bought new front mounts, rear bushings, front and rear dust covers, rear dust caps, spiral wound, and 2 spring isolators...cost me about 200. the front mounts werent OEM, got them from advance auto.

yo man i spent a grip on my setup, but my goal was a smooth ride w/ NO suspension noise. And thats exactly what i got!
