i took seat out, now only one side of the rail works... i even tightened the cord on the motor. . . help?

 

The cord on the motor shouldn't be tight. Loosen it.

 

There is only one motor to move the seat (I am assuming you have a front-rear moving problem). There is something wrong with the mechanical connection to the one rail. You'll have to take the seat out again and look closely for the problem.
