Or the ones not looking to spend as much.
MEVIs sell for fairly cheap and dont consists of many parts needed to make them work.

How about the IACV setup for a MEVI? The idle issues associated with an 00vi/DE-k swap drives me nuts....

The MEVI uses the stock iacv setup. It was an actual stock manifold option on 3.0DEs so everything is stock. And what are these idle issues that you speak of? you just gotta do it right and theres absolutely no issues with the dek iacv.

I figured that much. That definitely makes a MEVI more attractive.

As for me, Im running a remote 4th gen IACV. But its too early for me to complain; My hoses arent routed properly....I need to tap into the UIM so I can route a bigger hose. I have a .5" hose coming from out of the IACV coupled to a .25" unused EVAP hose. It works to an extent if I turn idle up via IACV or the throttle stop screw. But then it idles warm at 1500....At least I know it works for the most part. Just gotta get around to it....

The ones Ive seen are normally around 400, MEVIs usually go for 3.

A complete 00vi can be had for $250 on the low end. $300 being the high end. Of course dependent on how complete it is. (rpm switch/IACVAP, etc...lil minor things)

Ok, here's a question, then - does anyone offer either a MEVI or OOVI intake ready to bolt on?

I ask, as I'd love to perfrom the upgrade - but it is currently my ONLY car, and have to work. I also do not get a lot of time off, so it would have to be straight forward...

The MEVI is bolt on, no modification needed, but for either one you need to look in the classifieds until you find one.
