Power Trunk Release Not Working

Alright let me start with the things I've checked already.
1. 15 amp fuse is still intact

2. Relay(Brown Relay near trunk hinge) Coil Resistance reading is 75 ohms

3. Checked to see if power from the switch to the relay coil. Voltage reading is 0.359 volts dc even when the trunk release button is pressed.(Shouldn't the voltage increase when button is pressed?)

4. No movement from trunk release actuator, no relay clicking sound either.

5. Checked valet switch

So I'm thinking it might be the release switch on the door panel.

Anyone else got any ideas or info. Anyone else deal with this problem?

Any help appreciated.

Take a voltmeter and make sure you are getting 12VDC at the purple/white wire at the trunk lid actuator (relay). If you don't your fuse is probably blown.

Make sure you are checking at the trunk lid actuator and not the remote control relay that is near it. The trunk lid actuator has a Purple/White and Purple/Yellow wire running to it. That remote relay has nothing to do with the lid opening. The coil in the actuator gets power directly from the fuse and gets ground from the switch in the door.

If you have power at the actuator try jumping the P/Y wire to ground. If the actuator works then your door switch or door switch connection is faulty.

Thanks Nopike for your help, I will try this tomorrow if I got time and report back ASAP.
Go figure, my dumb-a$$ was checking the wrong circuit. Should of checked the wiring diagram before hand.

Anyways once again thanks for the info.

Dude... Valet switch in the trunk...

Open the trunk with the key, below the latch is a switch with a rubber guard on it.. Make sure its in the Up?? Position otherwise your release won't work.

Yea, that was the first thing I tried.(Forgot to write that)
I was kind of wishing it was the valet switch.

Thanks for the tip though.

Nopike answered this but I would like to add some details. The purple/white wire has 12 volts all the time from the fuse and the purple/yellow wire gets connected to ground

The wiring diagrams do not show any kind of valet switch as part of the trunk release circuit.

Does your trunk actuator open the trunk if using your remote?

Where is the fuse for the trunk located, I'm trying to fix this problem myself before taking my car some where that's going to charge me so much more, Thanks in advance!
