Ya some parts are decent priced some are really high.
Just come to a point where no matter what ive replaced and things dont get better and it gets old.

I like the car alot. Decent power for stock.
Just to much of a pain in the @$$

That's what I thought when I bought my '96 I30. A ton of parts needed to be replaced at only 120k miles. And reading through the forums, you will notice there are a lot of people with the same problems, especially on such a low mileage car.

Everyone gets there eventually, where it just sort of seems like a lost cause.

Also, how many miles does your max have on it? I'm coming up on 140,000 and there hasn't been anything that made me want to sell the car or anything. Just curious what caused you to want to.

Its got 140k on the motor
296k on the body

Its a nice car. It has its bumps and bruises which dont bother me too much.

The best bet would be to swap a motor in it but the funds arent there.

Id rather get something that wont give me alot of problems

My thoughts exactly. But in the last 300 miles I replaced the water pump, radiator and starter. I must admit the thought crossed my mind.

Maybe you just had a bad apple maxi, and that sucks, I know because my first max was like that even though it was at 129k when I bought it, was a money pit. Maybe there's another max in your future

Its hard not to buy another one when you buy a car. You may be pissed when you sell it or junk it, but when you go looking at cars and see Maximas....its hard to pass them by.

Yes the engine was replaced

Idk the full details about it but timing and water pump were changed when it was swapped.

And im not worried about torque. Im pretty much done modifying cars.

I need something thats not gonna take my arm and leg to fix.

3 kids and 600 amonth in child support. Tells me i cant afford a max. Especially when i can get "h" parts a dime a dozen and alot for free from buddys

Its just the better route to go right now
