Coilover kit

Do these coilover kits actually work well or are they like a copycat of the whole coilover set:

a buddy of mine had them in his subie, they SUCK!, on OE or stock replacement struts, they ride like ROCKS, and then the threads on one of the sleeves stripped out, i wouldnt recommend them, start of with tokicos and Tien S.Techs, best bang for your buck on a budget

Cheaping out on suspension parts ....

Im not gonna flame cuz thats not my style man...but coilover for 80 bucks??? Cmon man, u know that shyt not gonna last. I mean, the advertising says it goes over stock springs: so that means u lowering stock struts 0-3"???? them shyts would blow the first time u drive over a pothole lol.

If u on a budget, jus throw some Tokico blues on it with stock springs. Or jus save up man for the blues with some springs. U in socal so u can get the GR2 if u really on a budget.

Dont do Stechs on stage 1 suspension (tokico blues). U gonna need stage 2 (illuminas or Konis) for drops that low.

Dont cheap out on suspension, u jus gonna end up spending more in the end.

Errrrr. Try again. You were supposed to say, "yeah i for sure won't go cheap i guess. I'm interested in your Boss Chens. How much are you selling em for?" Now walk out the door, come back in and try again. Well act like this never happened.

Boss Chen's ≠ BC Racing (Bor Chuann)

However,

BC Racing = D2/KSport/etc,etc,etc

So wait, you're giving advice on a product you don't have direct experience with?

This makes very little since to me.....

FALSE! Unless DS/KS/etc. decided to stop making low quality coilovers and badged them as BC racing....

These coilover sleeves tend to suck because adjusting height affects preload since thats the only way to adjust em. The lower you go, the bouncier it gets....

i dont know much about suspensions for our 4th gems but i know that i had a set of ground control lowering springs for my old car and i loved them... has anyone had any of these on their cars? bc 400 is ALOT easier to afford then 6 or 700.
i have a dropzone setup on there now and it ride ok i guess but i was wondering if anyone knows more about GC for the 4th gen..

I wd mess with these before tryin the ones the OP was referring too.

Still however, i dont like em and would either go coilovers or loweriing spring/strut combo.

Something about lowering on stock struts jus seems demeaning to me. Especially if they are original struts. if u lower ur car on old struts then they are sure to blow.

Maybe if u get new stocks u can lower on them. But new OEM struts cost 130 apiece. Thats almost doube what Gr2 cost and stock isnt performance.
