NEED HELP ASAP!! Coil pack screw broke off in Valve Cover

Org Peeps I need your help ASAP!!

so this morning, my car was acting funny...cylinder 4 misfire...sure it was a coil...bought a coil...pulled the old one....put the new one in. First bolt went in fine, second, thread about 3 threads, then the bolt just snapped in half. Now Im stuck at my cousins house. I tried cutting a notch with a dremel and unscrewing it, but the notch I cut, the sides just broke off. Now Ive pulled the front VC off, and still cant figure out how to get this bolt out...any help is appreciated. Thanks

Ive tried to unscrew it by cutting a notch in the bolt for a flat head, but the bolt is froze.

if I use a bit extractor will that tear the threads up?

Wrecking yard vc. Sounds like it cross threaded Ginger in so the threads need chasing anyway. An extractor wont be easy on such a small screw.

well I got in touch with my neighbor (35 year mechanic), asked him if he could fix it. He said to bring it over when he gets home

I didn't know Harbor Freight had them too.

I might pick up a set for the heck of it, I had an issue just recently and ended up using an angle grinder.

I broke one of those soft mounting bolts in the hard-to-reach cylinder 5 a few years ago. It broke off flat with the mounting surface so I was able to fully tighten the other mounting bolt. It held snug and ran fine for over 2 years with just 1 mounting bolt.

When I removed the valve covers 2 weeks ago I finally extracted it. The extractors I had were too big so I got a smaller one at True Value to do the job.

this dude is a general mechanic....has been working at dodge for at least 2 decades.

He ended up drilling a hole in it, and used either a square or hex drill bit to extract it. Then he took one of the coil pack screw and hacked it up and made die out of it. Worked perfectly
