Sway Bar Link Impossible

Hi,I'm trying to install a sway bar link. I can't get it to go in. It's one piece. Do I have to loosen the sway bar? Do I jack up the whole car with both wheels off the ground or just the side I'm working on? This *****

Disconnect both sides. Or Jack up the side you are working on.
