Hello forum

Been a long while. I visit rarely. Just wanted to say hello to fellow enthusiasts. I still do miss my old 4th gen 5sp gxe. It has been almost 6 years since I had ownership of the car. Here are a few things I was able to achieve with the car with the most inexpensive mods: achieve a 14.0 sec 1/4mi at 98mph, 25mpg routinely on daily commutes since it was my DD. I miss how light the car felt. Looking back it was a relatively easy car to work on and it was pretty reliable. My current ride has been a 2005 G35 coupe 6sp. It's probably the same down the 1/4mi (never ran) and struggles to get 19.5mpg on the same commute lol. I keep it pretty much stock because I know better now lol. It is better built and the handling is quite awesome and balanced right out of the box. Still the 4th gen holds a special place in my automotive experience. Keep it up people. Glad to hear from any of you.

What amazes me is looking at the join dates of some of the people on this forum. They have the same gen, but the join date is 8-10 years later. Freaking amazing!! It truly shows how great of a car this is. I see many 4th gens on the road today still in my town. I think the very first mod ever on my 4th gen was the JWT pop charger lol. 2nd mod was the Addco RSB. Then I picked up used SE sawblade wheels with used BFG all season tires from a fellow member up in North Jersey. I was able to achieve 2.0 sec 60' with that beat setup. It has taken me far in terms of driving since I drove on it until there was no tread left.
