tach size questions

just a q was wondering if anyone knew the size of the stock tach in the gauge cluster of a 97. been having trouble with mine, and thinking about replacing it with an aftermarket one with a built in shift light. i don't want to have a pod or anything just want to find one to sink in, to the stock whole.

yes i have searched

I don't think that will work. The aftermarket tach would interfere with the circuit board behind the gauge cluster. I remember reading about some bad solder joints on the gauge cluster board causing problems with the speedo and tach. You might want to look into that.
