P0744 tcc circuit intermittent

sup org.

heres the deal, my 4th gen trans took a dump before that i had this code along with all sorts of other problems

the trans, tc, and valve body have been replaced with 5th gen goodies

this is not really common from what i have experienced but anyway heres what it does

after i start it cold or warm the first shift into tcc lockup works and is fine as if nothing is wrong but after a bout 2 minutes of lockup it disengages and doesnt come back on until i shut it off and start the car again

if anybody has any clues hints or tips i would appreciate it

thanks org

Are you getting any SES lights on and is your harness pins connected. I woulld get the code scanner and check the codes. I would check the voltages on the harnes pins and the solenoids packs that are in the valvebody adn are the packs new.

Yes, yes, and yes
I have not voltage dropped the connector but the old one was cracked and broken so I de pinned and re pinned a junkyard all weather pack

Now if I was to voltage drop it wouldnt the tcm have to comand the solenoid on to get the proper reading?
I did check the resistance of the trans fluid temp sensor cold and hot and it seems within spec

I am sure that the 5th gen solinoids are different than the 4th gens. I would believe that the TCM would also be having trouble engaging the VB sol properly due to the 5th gen packs. The best way to figure out if it's the 5th gen packs and the TCM. Do the o/d on/off test the instructions are in the haynes or chilton manual or the forums. The VB,sol packs are diffrent from what the TCM for a 4th gen would recognize.
