question about ionic dynamics lip kits.

How terrible would it look to mix up the fiberglass front lip with the CF sides and rear? im in NJ and plan on lowering, and i know a CF front lip is going to break in one ****in second on these ****ty roads around here.

thoughts and opinions? other NJers?

You could get the fiberglass front lip and have it water-transfer printed in a carbon fiber pattern to match.

Go all CF and just drive carefully over rough roads.

Fiberglass isn't that much better than CF..considering the source of the part....

If you're really worried about your front lip, go with Stillen's urethane front lip and CF sides and rear.

Personally, full Stillen kit gets my vote. Styling is better than Ionic's IMO.

no but i plan on it very soon. and trenton rd.s are pothole GALORE.

but you say its not so bad? the reason im stressin it is because the ionic dynamics CF roof spoiler is ****in BRITTLE feeling. so im figuring the lip kit is of similar reinforcement.

oh ok gotcha yea the CF is pretty brittle/fragile like but as long as you dont go up a big/steep drive way head on or a speed bump i think you should be fine but its your call lol

focus on getting your "problems" fixed before modding. Ive put off painting my kit 2-3 times now to fix other stuff.

IMHO, Id worry about getting the front painted or finding painted stuff before going for the kit.

i knew someone was gonna say that.
but its a different case with me man. because i do all my own repairs. but the weather doesnt permit me to do any refinishing until spring. not that ill even get a lip kit before i paint it.
but on the other hand im glad i even have the paint now because for a while there money was tight.

MY ID stuff has held up great over the past 2-3 years, through countless road trips, a number of accidental bumps and scrapes (i think I can make it, i think, i think, **** time to back up). The ID kit is FRP and is quite flexible, never had a stillen kit but I would highly recommend the ID kit..fitment was great, price was great, Jose is awesome and has good communication

I tend to ignore those types of useless comments. Our flexible front lips are built to last. Too bad some people confuse aerospace CF composites with cosmetic CF parts.

ID kit is cheaper and if you need to buy pieces...the rears are 150 shipped whereas stillens is 108 per side not shipped...same with the sideskirts....the only thing i can say is i think im buying some cf kit pieces soon...think itll look sick on my lakeshore blue...

up in the north, IMO, no point in having a body kit AND lowered. Do one but not both. Roads are too messed up

I agree, I've seen people take their front lips off for the winter, that might be an option for some.

im glad ID chimed in.

now that chris says something about taking off the roof spoiler for winter... that doesnt seem like a half bad idea. the weight of a foot of snow could damage it im thinking

I have a fiberglass Sarona one and don't want it to break. They're not cheap.
