How about I'm "fastest with no real power mods"

or "fastest stock powertrain"...

Or are we counting OSCAI & K&N as a mod??

as far as I care.. there are two fastest maximas.

1) NA
2) NOS / SC / Turbo

I don't care what you do as long as you have a nissan VQ series motor.

So, launching at higher rpms won't get me better 60ft times? When I did launch at 2k rpms, I did get mucho tire spin. Maybe I should have launch at lower rpms if I want to lower my 60ft. Drag radials should help out a lot. I should be able to launch at higher rpms and get traction too with the drag radials right?

You should be able to launch higher w/ DR's. I dont know how high the TC can handle. Im sure w/ DR's you can drop them to 2.2-2.1. Maybe even 2.0 can be done?

If you get a higher stall TC & VB on your new tranny, you will be right on the boarder of 14's NA. Your 97 right? Stick in a JWT ECU in. That is 14's NA.

I'm a '96. I probably will get the tranny rebuild first. Then, maybe torque converter. I already have the VB, but so no need for that. As far as the JWT ECU, I'll consider that too.

Btw, did you dyno yet?

You should take your car to the track before you remove your supercharger. At least you will be able to compare times if you deciede to go with NOS or a level 10 rebuild.

No dyno yet. I gotta get some free time first. I'll let you know.

As for tires, dragging on a 100 shot on street tires... that is burnout city happening.

The tranny has been replaced with a VLSD 3 years ago, other than that, its all "bolt-on" (to the .org definition). My new engine isn't in the car yet, so that doesn't count. I'm not sure what everyone is thinking that I am not telling, so enlighten me. I don't remember anyone telling me any of their mods (real, not cyber-typing) when I started with this car.

You should break it up into groups, so everyone has a chance to be on the list:

Fastest with no mods
Fastest with exhaust only
Fastest with intake only (homemade dones't count)
Fastest with "little work done"
Fastest with "alot of work done"
Fastest with "work done by someone else"
Fastest with "work I'm gonna do someday"
Fastest with Eibach sprgs (add Tokicos will delete you from this list)
Fastest in towns with less than 30,000 people (must prove it)
Fastest with 87 octane (again, this must be proved, receipts will do)

Fastest in the group that knows what they are talking about
Fastest in the group that doesn't (very big list here, will have to break down tie-breakers into date they joined the .org)
Fastest "newbie"
Fastest "Lives in a Maxima"
Fastest with Proof (video, witness, tape, drawings, timeslips, etc)
Fastest without Proof (Cyber-Racing qualifies for this group)

I ran my 13.6 on street tires, 225/50/16 Dunlop All Season HP tires. I have some 205/50/15 BFG gForce Drag Radials in my garage for my next visit to the track.
