Your experience with Ebay Bumper lights

I have some extra Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket and so I'm looking for things to spend it on. I've wanted some Crystal clear bumper lights for my Max since I got it but haven't gotten around to buying some yet.

My question is: What is the difference between all of them on Ebay?
I want the Crystal clear ones with the chrome inside (not the blacked out, or smoked). However, there is like 30 to choose from with all different brands and sellers, and the price ranges from $15-39.00. Is there any difference or are they all pretty much the exact same "made in china" and then sellers just have different price tags.

I ask because I'd rather fork over the extra $20.00 if the product is higher quality I.E. longer lasting and better looking (pictures can be deceiving from Ebay).

Thanks for the input.

Subscribed for same question!

**PS $15 + shipping i'm guessing? So they all come out to around $30

Yeah, I then realized that after sorting for "lowest price + shipping" that they all pretty much came to $30. I ended up getting the cheapest set for $27.95. Now to take off the rear tails and do the rear turn signal white out.

^^^Pics when you're done with that. I've been thinking about doing it too but am a little leary about pulling the tails completely apart. Let us know how that goes for you when you get it done.

Here are mine; they are from ebay. The inside is black not chrome. They are all the same quality, just different housing color, different price, different seller, etc. I didn't have fitment issues. Just be careful with the tabs...they are very weak. Don't ask how I know....

I had a set of those lights, but did not like the chrome things inside. The price is around $30. They all come from China. I have had the regular clear ones too, which i liked better. ebay lights=everything is chinese. buy a set, called it a day.

I bought mine in February 2009 and they still look great. Only issue I had was that I had to transfer the drain fittings from my stock bumper lights.

There probably was a difference years ago. These days they are probably all made in the same plant in Taiwan.

Ok, iv bought 3 pairs in the past, either from them braking from hitting animals or me switching it up. They are all the same quality as said.
I do have some advice for you. On the back of your stock ones are a 10mm clip. remove and force tap it into the new ones. It may crack the back where it goes, bit it will hold the light and you'll never know it cracked( only cracks the edge of clip spot) you'll understand when you do it. Use vice grips to do the tap with a deep 10mm socket. Then id recommend some silicone or something to seal, two of the three iv had leaked after a day. The clears look bad when they leak to.
Best of luck and happy new year.

Mine's had the driver side sidemarker part missing, so I bought the eBay clears mainly because the full set of 4 is probly cheaper than just that one orange piece from a dealer. Also got the turn signal bulbs (1156) that look chrome but light up amber....figure they will look cool in the clear/chrome housing. My car is that dark green, almost looks black, so it should give some nice contrast to the front end and match the clear headlights, upper sidemarkers and fogs.

Those just look like AE headlights. Just open your lenses, mask off the reflective area and spray the outside with some black spray paint.

I think they even have a mod like this in the Howto's

My $30 eBay set does not have the locking tabs for the side marker next to the turn signal.
Am I supposed to remove my old clip?
I'm afraid of breaking it..

If anyone else ever has this problem, you can unscrew the push tab from your oem light.
