My New Ride: 96 Maxima SE
Hello everyone just wanted to make a members ride thread. I have had this car since Aug 11 and is my first Maxima. I always wanted an all black stick shift 4th gen in SE trim.
What I have done so far:
- Fixed rear license plate light as it was all rusted out
- Straightened the front pass side fender
- Replaced rear struts bought from member : highonfumes
- New front tie rod ends
- Newer MAF sensor
- OEM hood bra
- Tinted rear half of the car with 20% tint:
Didn't come out so well but I am more than satisfied. Was the hardest
and frustrating thing I'd ever done, will never do it
- Added front lip (I'll let you guys guess what it's out of )
- Installed a Pioneer CD/ mp3 player
- New fuel/ gas door as it had a dent
- Newer trunk lid as mine has rust around the spoiler
got it painted just have to wetsand, buff and install
Future Plans
- Install the ^ trunklid
- Eventually fix rust, dents and scrapes
- Daily drive and keep her clean

So far I'm really happy about where I am with the car. I'd like to thank Maxima.org for all the help I found in trying to figure out fixing issues on my car. What do you guys think?

Thanks for all the nice comments guys I just love the bra so will keep it till the hood gets fixed. Not a big fan of clear/ smoked lenses, I don't know for some reason the amber ones brightens it all up for me and I think goes well with black.
As for the drop, totally agree with you the 4x4 status bugs me. It will have to wait for a while till I can afford it :-)

Im 99% sure they do....mine does and its a 96 se. Hate to say it, but whats the mileage? could be a cluster swap.....As for the lip, It looks like a DIY so weather stripping or some sort of draft door guard?

Nah, I've got the Lowe's lip on mine and it looks nothing like that one. His appears to be plastic and not foam rubber, then again the Lowe's lip can be replaced easily in about 15 minutes and for about $10, that's what makes it so great! I have aluminum strips behind mine to add strength and help it keep it's shape.

I remember my 95SE came with the hood bra. I rocked it for the winters until I had the front end painted, and then I stopped winter driving it. I don't mind how it looks...it just looks cleaner without it. Nice car man! 4th gens are the new 3rd gens around my area here lol.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. Yeah, I agree about the cluster. Ran a vin check through Carfax before buying the car and everything matched up with the mileage. The information plate under the hood has a "v" as the fifth digit so I am sure it's a SE. So, maybe they swapped a cluster with close mileage.
I was expecting it was hard to guess the lip. It's off of a 92 Integra. It's a bit short at the ends but, have a plan in mind to fix it, just need to find some time. I like the non-aggressive look of it.
