how much should i offer/pay for this maxima

I have found a 95, 96 se 5 spd, not sure but will check tomorrow. It is in back of a dealership, and has 74k miles on it. Is white, black leather, 5 spd, heated seats etc. Now, my quesiton is, what should I expect it to cost, and if I trade in a 99 Honduh Accord auto, lx with 64k miles and some options they should give me $ back...If they take the accord and give me a grand or two looks like Mike is getting a 5 spd if not then the auto stays for now

Since you found it at a Stealership, I think you can expect it to cost 10k+
Although the same car can be probably found for 2 grand less at a private seller, or an auction or something

"Stealership"

I like that.

Yep, you're pretty much gonna take it on the chin twice if you buy from them and trade your current vehicle as part of the deal:

1) Price will likely be inflated on the Maxima
2) Don't expect a fair market price trading in your Honda.

Basically, there are 2 opportunities for them to make $ off you, instead of 1. That's the way they'll look at it - you can bet on it.

If you'd prefer not to be bothered with details & are willing to pay a premium for the dealership experience, go for it, but if you'd rather keep a little more green in your pocket, you might consider trying to sell your Honda privately, first.

Either way, good luck!

well..it came out that there is about a $300 difference in both cars, and i know "stealerships" if they hear the word cash etc or trade then things change. I am afraid it will take too long to sell privately but will try.

Don't know about your area but an auto HONDA may be easier to sell than a 5speed max. I'd say definite try to make a trade with a little extra cash to make it worth his time. You definitely will have a load of fun with that 5spd. 95/96 also a little faster than your 99. At 74k, that is fairly gently driven although you cannot exclude perhaps a clutch job.
