another 4th gen in a fast and furious!!

I just realized that there is a 4th gen maxima lowered on rims in Tokyo Drift. During shawns first drift session vs dk where he demolishes the poor nissan.... towards the end where he does a 180 and runs backwards into the parked cars I spotted the 4th gen 2 cars up unwrecked thankfully... anyone else ever noticed this

you can see one in planet of the apes. the part when all the monkeys are on the bridge the one that stands on the car and raises his fist is standing on the trunk of one.

I cry a little inside every time I see a FNF post, because all it tells me is that "we" are actually watching this crap.

There are two Maxima's in this video clip of the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Since there were numerous camera angles that were filmed for each scene, alot never made it to the movie, or they're edited for a brief moment of just a few seconds.

Yea its my max, I drift over there on the wknds.....

and stop hating on fast and furious! Its a badass movie that has done so much for the aftermarket. We wouldn't have half the performance parts we have today without the popularity of that first movie. I could of done without tokyo drift though....

Not to sure if I agree or disagree with the part in bold. IMO, F&F has had very little, if no impact on the Maxima world's small amount of aftermarket parts. Other cars yes, but not the Maxima. The best aftermarket parts I can think of (Stillen SC kit, Stillen full body kit etc) were around before the first movie ever came out. All that FnF movie inspired manufactures to make for us were the horrible altezzas. LOL

Also FnF brought out the dumb drivers thinking they were all that and more. Then cops started to notice (even more) and concerned mothers complained and all this random bull**** compounded, meets where hot spots and people started getting pulled over, people thinking they where cool doing burnouts at meets or bringing there cars with just fart cannons and reving the **** out of em for minutes upon minutes thinking they where cool.

I was gonna call this exact scene out lol..... old news I agree... ever since I bought the DVD I saw that 4th gen right there but every time I would pause the scene to show somebody, it would be too blurry on my double din for them to really believe lol

Nothing can help the aftermarket for maximas they arent sporty enough anymore after the 5th gen. They started going more luxury instead of steadily improving the engine and suspension. I meant the movies helped the aftermarket in general and showed car manufacturers people likes personalization. The FnF movies has done alot for the aftermarket and inspired car manufacturers to offer more personalized car options. Yes some more ricers came from it but Ill take the good over the bad

they actually were, i knew a importer there and i asked about 3rd gens and he said theyre hard to find but still there. biggest problem was the width, dont know about 4th gens but 3rd gens exceeded Japans passenger car width limit for the time.

also Tokyo Drift had some nice cars in it that made me blow my wad, but the storyline/drifting scene portrayal was waaay off. its not like you can speed over there and cop cars cant catch you, theyve got cameras allover to nail you and the cops have cracked down on illegal racing tremendously over the last 10 years

I think we are all missing the important part of this thread. Ceasar, the FIRST speaking monkey that started it all is making his bridge stand, ON A 4TH GEN MAXIMA in Rise of the Planet of the apes. I think that is significant. even though the continuity is disrupted because I think it switches from a 4th gen max to a volkswagen or something when the shot is behind him.

I think I saw one in The Departed the other day. I also noticed one in Rise of the Planet of the Apes- in fact they show it a few times(on the bridge scene).

Man 5/5.5 gen never gets and silver screen love. But I am a former 95 owner, so I will take some Max visibility anywhere I can.
