Okay so I'm back in the market AGAIN for another 4th Gen Maxima...
So I need your opinions on if the Maximas i look at are worth it.
So right now im considering a Max I haven't seen yet but basically its a 97 5 speed the guy says its running good(I will test drive when i get time) but has a Transmission leak. Does that automatically mean new transmission? or just a pain in the *** to maintain. This time around im looking for a reasonably running Maxima that i'll basically turn into something great. What do you guys think about this first find? 1500obo is the asking price... bad interior....which i plan on customizing anyway....the Pull A Part out here has TONS of Maximas. and of course our community sells everything.

BTW: Of course im going to check the car out thoroughly but just figured id put a quick post for thoughts.

 

Find out the mileage and why or where the tranny's leaking.

 

Lol if you lived closer to me id sell you mine for 2.5k interior is in good shape, motor and tranny run great, just needs some paint and a valvecover gasket replaced(small leak at front passenger corner) and a/c compressor needs to be replaced 5spd with udp and sri and a/c belt bypass along with a laundry list of engine internals done. About 220k on car but engine only has about 105k since rebuild, cluster(been replaced since original tach didnt work only has 260k) also m3 style marker light mirrors. Soon to have 5900k hids in stock housings
