Headlight questions

Heya, I do a decent amount of night driving, and i just can't see anymore so i'm looking to upgrade my headlights.

I have searched but either links are dead or its so old that maybe something newer would be a best option now

What i want to do is get some projector/hid headlights, are there any full kits available anywhere to make it easier on me? i really just don't have the time to retrofit them myself so a kit would be great.

I'm really clueless now, been quite a while since i have been on here, so i'm completely out of the loop on maxima parts and stuff so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed. The retros are the only way to go for an appreciable difference. Ebay projector headlights are junk. Retro or nothing IMO.

I'd definitely go for the retro. There are a few options. Chris does some great work. You can always do it yourself, but then again it might not have the same quality. Here's the retro I did back in the day lol. I think this was like 2006 lol.

VisciousMo - are your retro or did you just paint the whole inside black? I just can't see a close up. If you did just paint the whole inside, is the light quality still good?

Also, would the parking lights (beside headlights) on a 97-99, fit a 96?

Everything is interchangeable and direct fit so yes, they would fit.

from what I've ran across. the 97+ are cheaper, and i believe they are also more clear.

Good luck on that. I just searched and could only find those one piece lights. Then I went to the website where I bought the set (headlights and corners) and they don't even offer them anymore. That was on my 95, which is now gone.

The 'R34' lights are ok, but I like the look of the original design. My 99 has one piece, but they are Cefiro.

I've got glass lenses on my headlights. Every picture I see on here has plastic/much clearer lenses. Would I have to replace my headlights with aftermarket before retrofitting?

Flutted lenses will destroy your output. Ask me how I know..

You'll need clear lenses.

The ones in my earlier pic are the only ones I've ever seen that were clear glass.
