Wiring LED strips in the trunk

In the trunk of my 95 gle theres a small dome light. I was thinking I could splice into its power wire to run a strip of ebay LEDS? Just want a little lighting to match my amps. If anyone has any experience with installing trunk LEDS I would really appreciate some tips.

Easiest way imo is to get yourself a SMD LED panel for the trunk light itself with the T10 adapter and wire it in that way...

And if you want the led strips, its a whole lot easier to splice into the wires than stock.

Did you use the wiring from the trunk light to power it?

SMD panels
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Light-Panel-...ht_4270wt_1396

comes with a T10 plug adapter. You simply remove the bulb and plug the adapter in to the socket (if it doesnt work, simply unplug..rotate the adapter 180* and reinsert [the plug is polarized and will only work one way])

Cheap in deed. $3 on ebay..... And I cant even find any 48smd panels on amazon (only the ones that are domed [had that style in my license plate lights.....individual lights were going out in each bulb within a week)

Sure, it might take 2-3 weeks to get here from china, but $7 in your pocket is $7 saved

Or if you want something PnP there's a kit on racingline.ca that is 2 LED strips tied into a t10 plug. I'm currently running it in my 2g Altima.

Thanks, I was a little confused about how the adapter worked. I ordered a blue panel for 2.89 w/ free shipping. Can't beat that

After hooking it up to that dome light will it stay lit continuously? If I'm not mistaken that light comes on when I brake or when the trunk lid is open.
