I need to remove the headlights on my 97 Maxima as I want to replace them with unfoggy, clear ones. I can't find the screws or bolts to take out the headlights? Am I blind? Any help appreciated.

Thanks for no help, I've searched first clearly, and googled, nothing but vague tutorials that mention 4 screws. I can't see anything on the front, side or back.

Terror, its me from Reddit. lol

So to take them off this is what you do...

Unbolt your side clearence lights.

Then there are two bolts that you will clearly see. Unscrew them.

Second, look near the radiator. Staring at the front of the car on the grill end of the head light there will be two bolts. Youll need a socket with an extension in order to unbolt them.

Pop the hood.
Remove the screws at the top of the corner lights.
Take a small flathead screwdriver and pop out the ***** out of the sockets behind the inside corners of the corners.
Behind the corners you will see two 10mm head bolts. Remove them both.
Behind the headlights, closer to the radiator, there are two holes each with a 10mm nut behind them. Remove them both.
Take a flathead and pop off the grill tabs that are attached to the inner headlight upper corners.
Start pulling and remove the headlights.

Reverse this process to reinstall.

Don't forget to remove the grill, since I believe it's mounted in front of the headlights with a clip like apparatus though it may just be on my car since it's been smashed in 3 times and counting...

OP, also remove the "headlight protection black shroud" that covers the left headlight in front of the coolant reservoir, just to unplug the bulb from the harness.

Long sockets are a must, as everybody else has stated, and possibly removing the relay top cover on the right headlight might access you some extra room.

Good luck, and don't forget to use BlueMagic to make them foggy free!!!!!!!!!!!!!
