car wont turn on

well um heres my story...i drove the car for the day...like 3 hours max, it worked perfectly!but i finaly got home, chilled for 3 hours, and when it was time to take the car back out, it wouldnt turn on. it cranks, the engine makes sounds as if it wants to turn on...sometimes it even turns on but once it gets to a certain rpm it stops and turns itself off...ive replaced my battery...reseted the ecu by leaving the battery out overnight...ive had a couple of mechanics check it out, they've said its probably the computer because their not receiving any codes when they plug in the code detector thingy...the gas pump is pumping gas, and we've checked the spark plugs and coils....im not really sure whats wrong, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. im not great with cars x.x

A MAF sensor can cause this. It can go bad without throwing a code. I've had this problem before a few times with cars i've owned in the past.

i highly doubt your ecu just took a poo like that... by mechanics do you mean your friends that work on their cars? if the car is turning on, albeit for a short time before it dies, then your ecu is working. sounds more like a sensor like maf or something. get a vid and post back up... how do you know that the car is getting gas and how did you check the plugs and coils?

my friends dad is a mechanic that has his own shop, well both my friends, so i managed to get them to check, the first one, he took my back seat out and pulled something out, some plug to check if the car is pumping gas to the engine and it is, the second mechanic checked the engine and coils to see if they sparked\worked and they were.im not sure whats wrong. ill try to get a video right now.

Tell the mechanic, like everyone is saying, to check the intake system. The MAF is my guess, the car won't start if it's not on correctly. We had the same problem with my buddies Z, MAF was shot, fell off, car wouldn't start. Replaced it and it came to life.
