Hi all...needing some help here
i finally got around to cleaning the EGR few months ago so that the CEL would go away but afterwards my car starting having rough idle issues to the point that it would stall if i'm sitting still for too long without giving it some gas. Even giving it gas it still feels like its going to stall out and the car feels really sluggish.
engine starts up fine but the RPM will bounce around a lil bit then goes down to like 600-800 and the exhaust makes a puff puff puff puff sound ( no smoke tho ).

any help is greatly appreciated.. I've been putting off this problem for too long now...want to try to fix it

did you re use the EGR gasket? If so I would start there and replace it with a new one. I always get new gaskets so I don't have to take things apart again for a gasket.

It could be a leak around your IACV. THe IACV takes over at idle so when you have a rough idle it makes sense to clean it out and put on a fresh gasket

Sounds like the egr valve is leaking exhaust into the intake. Make sure the valve indeed closes completely.
