Temporary KS resistor mod?

I found a thread of using the resistor mod by soldering. Is there anyway I can just use electric tape or bond it temporary? If so, what's the easiest way to attach the resistor? and if anyone has pics, please post.

Thanks

Just put the resistor in the harness and tape it. No need to solder anything.

OAN: Don't even do this temporarily if you don't run 91-93 octane.

Prior to owning a Maxima my old boss had millions of problems with his on 87 octane and I always wondered why. Then again, he isn't the type to care much about maintenance as well.

10:1 compression has to do with that.

93 octane always for me, sometimes 91 when i'm at a rip-off Sunoco and no other convenient choice.

+1 on tape - did it on my 300zx KS before replacing and never had issues - the leads are long enough on those radio shack resistors that they'll go in very deep/secure.

Nothing but 93 octane for me, even at 200K
