95 maxima idle issue and running way to rich help?
Okay so I got a 95 which I just swap an engine to it.. First problem is that I could not get the idle to come down from 1500-2000. Seems that if I pull throttle body blade towards idle screw so it will touch it come down to normal bt cable is not pullin it at all so what could it be?
Now drove the car for like 3 days nd then all of the sudden car started to act up nd has a hard start nd when it does seems that if the engine had been flood with gas.. Nd now is runnin extremely rich nd has poppin out off the exhuast with a shaky engine. Read on another tread how if you don't clean bellhousin nd engine before installing this could cause it.. So bought a ground cable nd installed it but nothin changed so any suggestions

The cable pull the throttle open, the return spring keeps it closed.
There is a cold idle circuit which opens the throttle via linkage and a plunger. That may be handing up or defective. If that's the case, the throttle body must be replaced.
You need to troubleshoot the shaky engine issue, sounds like a misfire, ignition related. That could be a coil pack issue.

I saw that one nd when engine is warm the part pushin on it, is away from it so is not makin contact. As for the throttle body I swapped it since the one that came with engine was doin the same thing. But as soon as I removed the throttle position sensor the blade closes all the way on both throttle bodies..
Has brand new sparkplugs nd coils are okay also. What I don't get is wat is causin the rich, could both springs be bad then for the throttle body

Check the spring tension, make sure there is enough slack in the throttle cable too.
Also check the engine coolant temp sensor, the one closest to the block.
If it's out of spec and reading cold, your ecu will be running a rich map with a raised idle speed.

Okay so check temp sensor nd realize how it has a different one from my 95 old engine so swapped it.. But still nothin. But found a soleniod type thing with a 3 vacum line goin to it nd a 2 wire connector close by there which one line is disconnected and i cant find where it will go ? Could some one check on there car for me? Ill post pics but idk how to do from phone
There could be a million reason why you are running rich. As for the high idle, I would start at the TB and IACV. Your TPS could be bad. Most likely cause is a vacuum leak though, that will always cause a high idle and usually right around 1500 too. Just double check everything even if you are sure it is right. Hose under the TB connected? Thats common as well.
So I guess 95 is different in alot of things with newer years. Since tps, iac, temp sensor so far have been different... Figured out that I still had the iac from a 99 so swapped it with my 95 nd idle fixed it self.. Now goin to see what that does in regarding fuel
so i havent gotten a chance to drive it much, but yesterday driving around and noise car was lacking LOTS of power.. i got out to check underhood , and found hose to thermostat completly disconnected. car had no water! but my gauge never showed crap, so put water took home and water had taken a dump. replaced waterpump and started car again, noticed still running rich and no power... any suggestions will go replace coolant temp sensor but can that cause the no power?
Are there any codes? If I had to guess it could be your maf sensor.A bad maf could put you in limp mode which sounds like what your car is doing. Also there is an adjustment for your tps sensor. You can't just slap it on.Good luck
Thanks for all the in put everyone. I found my problem to be a bad injector which was dumpin extra gas. Car is now running good, just got little things to work out like finalize the adjustment on tps. any tips on how you guys do it?
