I've checked the stickies but the link is down. I'm looking for easy write up on how to do this preferably with pics. If you have a valid link or write up please let me know? I want to swap out the bulbs on a 1998. thanks!

Fsm. It has steb by step. It's not hard. Just start unscrewing all the obvious plastic surrounding the cluster

Thanks, I'm really considering doing this. How difficult is it to swap out the bulbs and I'm not sure to go with white, blue, or red?

Thanks and I've been reading that and already ordered led's for the map, dome, and doors. My concern was, am I able to not F* up the guage lights? I'm pretty handy but don't want it to take hours.

I see you had both the white and red, which did you like better and did you have to avoid spotting by sanding? How long do you think it would take from start to finish?

I was also curious to see what the blue would look like.

thanks again

There isnt much you can mess up, be careful with the gauge cluster trim piece that sits on the dash.

Red>White (the 98-99 cars have a blue-ish film on the back of the gauges that give a subtle blue hint).

Nothing had to be modified, the steps in that thread give you the results in those pictures.

as for time, for someone who has never removed all of that stuff. Id say 1-2 hours for removal and install. If you have done it before, 30 minutes

These are cool white plug n play leds. They are not quite as blue as the pic in person. And they are more even colored in person too but you get the idea. They are about the same color in person as the 40 is lit up.

look in my albulm, I have the blue LEDs in my cluster. they are crappy pictures but they still look pretty good. The lights look WAY better in person and work wiith the dimmer switch also. the only Part that was difficult for me was the black plastic bezel thing held in by the 2 screws and clips all around.

Just wanted to update this now that I'm done. It took only 30 minutes with 7 year old boy sitting in with me. It was a breeze!!! I skipped taking the steering trim off and went straighting to the bezel. Would of been done quicker if I didn't put all the bulbs in backwards first. Thanks everyone!
