Replaced UIM gasket and now have engine whistle

I just removed the UIM on my 1999 maxima GLE to do some fuel injector work and installed a new UIM gasket when I put it all back together. When I stareted it up now it has a whistle that seems to be eminating from the UIM gasket area.

I also have some white smoke coming from behind the engine towards the fire wall but I believe that to just be some coolant that leaked out into the bay when I was getting the back 2 coolant hoses disconnected from the UIM.

So any ideas on the whine/whistle? I have only ran it for about a minute or so the two times I ran it so far. Could I need to torque the bolts on the UIM tighter? I have them on right now at about 15lbs, I found the specs on-line and they said between 12-17, so I cut the difference.

Any ideas please let me know this is my daily driver for a 110 mile round trip and if I dont get it running its back to taking my '00 chevy metro, so please please help

Check for an open vacuum port or disconnected hose.
The throttle body does whistle slightly, more noticeable with an aftermarket intake.

Was the gasket properly seated? Did you use the proper amount of torque on the bolts? You may have a leak coming from the manifold itself. Could also be a cracked or broken hose.

Make sure the vacuum hoses are hooked up and there isn't any cracks.

Start the car and get carb cleaner, then spray the area where you were working and listen to see if the engine idle changes. And where ever it changes, thats where your problem lies. Also did u put the gasket on the right side and tq the bolts down? I just did my valve cover gaskets and even though I used a brand new gasket, I still always put a little gasket sealant on it to ensure a good non leakible bond.

Its your gasket on the EGR tube that's either missing or not ligned up properly hence the whistling...
