Blower Resistor needs to be replaced. Search for these things and you would have found the answer right away. It is located under dash on passenger side being held by two screws. Cost just under $40

What Trini Boom says is correct as long as you do not have the auto climate controls.

I just fixed this on my 03 maxima last week, blower motor resistor. Cost me $60 at the dealer (manual climate control) for the auto climate control i believe its DOUBLE the price, I've always wanted to have the auto climate control but when it came to replacing that part i was glad i had the manual lol.

I dont know what the hell happened to this this car but theres so many little tiny problems like this. Just nickel and dime stuff. Should have seen the oil I drained out when I changed it last week. I dont know it I felt more bad for the oil or my car. Well thats what Ive been lookin for is a fixer upper. I enjoy it.

well it wouldnt really make any sense to dump a bunch of money on performance if the original performance isnt performing right? Do people actually do that? Although I do have to say I did install my stereo and speakers before I maintenanced the engine. But that was just because I had the equipment and the engine stuff was in transit.

pfft, stereo and speakers only count if you spend over a grand. And like you said, the engine stuff was in transit.

You'd be surprised how many folks will prioritize say, a lip kit over regular maintenance, or cheapen out on maintenance in order to buy some ridiculous crap mod. It's not limited in any way to a specific car or model, either. Universal idiocy.

speaking of which...oil change is due on the lexus....UGH i hate the oil filter location...almost as bad as 2nd gen maxima, atleast that one is facing upward. the IS is parallel with the ground and d**n near impossible to get to. Might just take it in to have it done, save me the headache.
