Pm me what price you would be willing to pay for the item if a group deal was granted. Will add your name to the list.

I can already sense how the maxima game is going to "blow-up" once these have been installed on some of the members cars and reviewed. I am sure the product is a fantastic one and not to mention....the company has been in business far over 5 years.

Guys, spring rates are:

Super Sport-9kg front, 7kg rear
Racing Spec-14kg front, 12kg rear.

Front/Rear spring rates are the same for A32, A33, and A34.

Pillowball uppermount and front camber plate for A31-A35

Gotta be a vendor i would imagine..direct from xyz would be kind of difficult, especially on cutting the price but who knows.im not the guy working the deal. i know xyz has some quality products, not just coilovers.... they make other stuff and maybe if we show interest and buy their product we can get other parts

good lord that really takes the RS out of alot of peoples desire whether they know it or not. With 784 lbs/in and 672 lbs/in front and rear spring rates respectively? That is WAAAAAY to stiff for someone who even just drives their car a few times a week. The 504lbs/in and 392 lbs/in are about perfect for the maxima.

Thats why they are RS"racing spec" basically track coilovers...no wheelhop or bounce....stuck to ground....

The SS model is good for daily driven and once in a while down the track

Cj lives nearby the XYZ facility and went in there and personally talked to their people about a group buy, and the prices he put up are the prices they told him.

For our cars they are still not stiff enough for a seriously tracked vehicle. Its in the range thats too stiff for a DD but not stiff enough for a 4dr track car. It would need to be about 1000 lbs/in which I'm assuming the drift spec would be. Guess that settles on the SS model though lol

Still waiting on prices though. I think its best if CJ sets it up as he lives so close. Once we get 10 people SERIOUSLY committed I say we take it to CJ

Cj is already a grand in the hole in legal work to get the ball rolling for orders. So if 10 people do commit to doing this, I hope he can get it done so he doesn't have to eat that 1 grand.

He should be able to get 10 5th gen guys. That's what he's focusing on ATM.

This is a new thread. Take this to the old thread please. I did ask politely in the fist post to keep all this out of this thread.

Looks like you folks only need a couple more people to get on board. Good luck and hopefully you guys can get a good price if this interest thread goes into an actual group deal.

lets get people on the vote for this!!! come one....but when do we find out the pricing?
just to be sure, this is to gauge interest and see how much of a lower price we can get on a good deal right? i wouldnt want to be misinterpreting pricing or anything by thinking that were getting as good a deal or better than cj's...just curious and dont know if there were other's thinking the same way...

there is no promise the price will be same as cjs was,his price was cost... the vendor will have to make some money or they wont do it. Which in the business world is obvious lol but we shall see when the time comes what the price will be. hopefully we are all in the same ballpark as these are a "new" product. new to us not so new to xyz...

Yup. We should hopefully be able to have something started anytime now. The list is looking somewhat strong.

Yes, this is somewhat a gauge interest, nothin is in stone as yet. The vendors will hopefully make their decision based on the interest that they see. Personally, I think that this brand of coilover is going to kick off very well at with all the members wanting to lower their cars and be able to try something different. Also, my idea was to keep this thread totally fresh, no history of numbers or plans or anything at all, which is why I would also prefer if we not compare what was said in an older thread or by another person. Treat it like anew thread. We are now at 8 persons, 2 more is needed.

No one knows anything right now.....anything could happen for us, maybe good, maybe bad, which is why they are gauging interest and we are waiting to finally hear the breaking news from them.

Please leave this in the old thread. Lets just show the interest and see what deal they can provide to us. I know we all are hungry for these coilovers.......i know for sure.

SO please clear this up for me..wasn't real clear in the beg. posts...

Regardless if Pillow or not on the rear there is no camber adjustment...right? This is due to the axle beam.

No such thing on any 95-03 Maxima ever made.
Just in case you're still unclear on the matter.

Anywhoooo...... Can XYZ do custom valving or spring rates for us upon request?

I'm not interested in the above, but it could fish out 1 or 2 more people....

well if we were going through xyz directly that might be more of a possibility but we are going through a vendor so I would imagine it would be slightly more difficult to get that pulled.

They do custom spring rates, however it wouldn't be offered as part of a group buy since it costs significantly more and will also add cost to the fulfillment process.

Usually this isn't a problem to get spring rates they already make. Valving yes.

Guys, the vendor reached out to us and we should be hearing from them next week this time (June 15th, 2012). Until then, lets see if we can get some more persons on the list. Any other questions, feel free to let me know. Thanks.

Only other question i would have is how long will the deal last if proposed to us and what would be the turn around time? Does the vendor have...say..10 sets on the shelf or will be there be a month wait time for some people? Just wondering

Unfortunately, I don't have the answers to your questions and I'm not sure that we are in any position to ask until they offer us the group deal.
