Need advise on best parts to rebuild a tranny

i am going to have my tranny rebuilt, i do not want to have it done ever again so i want parts that will last. I am basically stock and plan to stay that way the most i would do is a few more bolt-ons if the mod bug gets me.

I do not need some crazy **** with a high stall or chirps the tires every shift, i just want more reliability and best bang more my buck, i dont want to spend 3k on a tranny that will last 400k when i only think she'll go another 200k at most. (i have 188k on her now)

I have talked to a couple performance shops like level 10 ect and they all tell me something different one says build it up for 1500 in parts another says use cheap parts for 500... so im lost

dude, just get a junkyard trans with lower mileage from a place you trust, rebuilds are a waste of time imo.

why the tranny of all parts? those often outlast the engine itself.

Are you referring to the VQ engine sir? If so, I think you may want to do some homework.

The stock tranny, if taken care of and not beat on, can go 300,000 miles.
Their pretty solid. I sort of agree with finding a low miles used one and tossing it in.

im not one for rolling the dice, im not going to put it in myself so... i dont want to chance it and hope the last guy didn't beat it. Plus I WANNA BEAT IT. lol i want it to last i dont want one with 100k that might last ...or not its too risky for me. Yes i know many people have done it and went another 200k im not even open to that option tho, i'd rather pay and know im good. i need to rely on this car i drive 20-25k a year for work.

i still say you can get a good used trans with a warranty and low miles. i dont trust rebuild kits or parts, stick with an oem trans. they're just built better.

Your driving the wrong car if that's your intention.

im not quite sure if the op. fully understands the nature of machinery. nothing on earth is bulletproof, or even near it. a superior product only increased mechanical cabability, but every part is breakable and nothing on the market today will make a tranny thats being beat the **** out of AND daily driven last as long as a grandma'd stock tranny.

Realistically, yes the VQ30DE is not indestructible. upward of 70% of them have problems and don't run properly. it can't escape being nearly 20 years old. theres more to an engine that its block. the plastic and computers were made before the gameboy pocket.

i don't know many people who do full overhauls as regular maintenance. most A32s i see nowadays are sitting camped on the neighborhood sidewalk or in on someone's lawn, not driven in years.

yes, understood... i am being dramatic i just want as much insurance as i can afford! When i say beat it i do not ever drive my car until it warms up i dont do needless stupid things like nutral drops ect. I always come to a complete stop before going from reverse to drive ect. the worst thing the tranny will ever see is occasional downshifts because im getting on her.

i think you would need both sides as its a different trans alltogether. call a local parts store or search in here. i want to change over as well, just have no reason to as of yet.

I have a rebuilt manual and they use aftermarket parts to cheap out (Aamco) so the tranny before shifted perfect, now if I past 3500 rpm and try to shift into 3rd it grinds. Losers. Check for info in the all motor section they talk about upgrades there if you want to beat on it.
