Do a search...

The F&F Maxima's mods and history have been discussed so many times most of us are sick of it. There are multiple threads with its mod list in it, but all I can remember is that it cost $70,000+!

That car is for sale right now for like $24000. The noise is the supercharger.

I don't know about the Supra, but the Maxima was valued at $75,000. Here is the link with all the mods. He has the muffler mods on there too and that will give you some of the sound but its the superchager for the most part.

The orange Supra in Fast and Furious does have 70k+ in mods, and is currently being sold at like 90k. I think the price is inflated because of the movie, but 24,000 for the Fast and Furious Maxima doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. I'm sure my insurance company would love to cover a car like that with a hefty monthly cost. Only if I had the money.

part of the sound was the supercharger, part of it was the special sound effects, like the bov on the non-turbo eclipse

how could it be a nonturbo eclipse and keep up with an RX-7 (other than the fact that it is a movie?)

You could pick that movie apart like when the kid with the VW tells the guy with the max that after he sets up the fuel trim hell be running 9s. YEAH! OK! That car is nice but all the money that went into it was spent on ice. Be better if it were engine mods.

DVD is great because the pause is incredibly clear so i paused the movie to look at the eclipse engine and it is not turbo...the RX7 in the movie is no better than a 12 second car, seen an article in a mag about it,still has the stock turbos, someone told me they used the eclipse sound from a turbocharged honda and kinda sounds like it...my friend who is a supra guy told me that the supra that he brings to the garage on a flatbead wasnt turbo...jonny tran supposedly had $100k under the hood of the S2000??? how the hell can you spend that much under the hood of a car that when this movie was made wasnt even available to the american public yet? BTW the eclipse wasnt evenk a GSX because you see all the Ebrake action...and the infamous maxima could run 9's?..lol..if im not mistaken they stuff the guys in into the empty engine bay of a civic and ask where his SR20 engines are???
but when it all comes down to it,this is just hollywood at its best, still loved the movie and hope they make another

Even though the story line sucked it was worth it just to see the scene represented.

Rancid90SE, in the beginning where the max pulls up along with the other cars, i dont think he said it would run 9's, but didn't he say something like "set the NOS timing to ONE NINTHS" ??? i could be wrong

$24K seems very cheap for that car. Especially considering you'd be recognized almost everywhere you go.

You're so right, my friend pointed that out to me too.

And the Supra that was brought in on a flatbed wasnt TT. It was NA. Just look at the intake.

And he said "Jesse" said if you fix something, your 3rd gear would be better and "Vince" would be 9's. Yea ok.

Also, that S2000 int eh movie was jsut featured in the Jan 2k2 issure of Super Street. The car has a Comptech S/C. The real owner of that S2000 is RJ de Vera who resides in LA, CA.

ok i seen it a good 18 times so far so let me try to quote it
"its your fuel map,its got a nasty whole
thats why your unloading in 3rd
i lengthened the injector pulse another millisecond
and just tune the NOS timer, youll run 9's"

I'm just glad they had Nissans rather than strickly hondas and mitsu's. I heard that it was almost definite that there was going to be a sequel to the movie, but they have yet to start filming. Maybe they will have a '02 Max or the new Altima or maybe even the new Z just to ensure that Nissans are represented well. Can't wait for the sequel to come out even though it was full of errors.

yes..something like the new Z in the sequel would make it 10 times better...they should add a few american muscale cars too..just my opinion...but they will have a pretty good storyline that picks up from where the first f&f left off

You know... in the link that Vyrus provided, it's stated that it's a 99 SE-L (that's been heavily modified)

The last time I checked... SE-L's came with spoilers.

I'm just tired of everyone thinking my car was the maxima featured in the movie. On the bright side, I talked to Craig Lieberman and he said that he originally wanted to paint his car spectra mica blue (the color I chose). So I guess I did pick a good color. In about 2 weeks, my car will have more mods than his though.

The car used to be white at first, it was featured in the first issue of Maxspeed. White with 18" Enkeis, and the Stillen kit.
