quiet down y-pipe?

has anyone successfully quiet down the y-pipe. wrapping? thanks.

it gets pretty loud at 2k rpm at 3k rpm is fine.

How about starting by saying what brand y-pipe you currently have installed? Does it have pre-cats?

I never had an issue with y-pipe noise on my old max. Are you sure you don't have leaks? Only other thing that comes straight to mind is maybe lower quality, thinner material used to make it.

it's a WS ypipe. the low tone is a bit loud. i know loudness is subjective. i will go back to oem probably by this summer. i try not to swap because of the work restoring my stock ypipe.

Avoid that rpm. Ceramic coat and wrap or go back to stock.

I'll tell you what stay away from the Ebay Ones! it was one hell of a firmint and has leaks that make it loud!!!
