Another CEL Code...Fail..

So now I'm throwing a P0420 (which more relates to a vacuum leek or the pre-cats) I've searched for about 2 weeks and pretty much read the same thing.

I've checked the vacuum lines, they are good. Unless there is a line I'm completely missing. (I've even sprayed carb cleaner on every line)

So the other thing is the pre-cats, I've read that they are a PITA to fix/replace/rig up. My shop who is ready to do my tune does NOT recommend gutting, but a full replacement, which is obviously costly... So with that said, are there any fresh ideas on this issue, or does this code seem relevant to fixing another issue within the car.

Please advise peeps!!

Just get a Y-pipe on that baby and call it a day. no need to worry about precats unless you're cali-spec. And even if you ARE cali spec, they make a y for that too (warpspeed brand)

I have the warpspeed y-pipe on my car. I've had it for about 3 years now.
