Turn signal help!

So I got some exterior LED's today and when I was trying to get the front turn signals to work (i didn't know that they don't work in the front) with LED, the left front one stopped working.

I put the OEM bulbs back and the turn signals are as follows:
Hazard lights=both flash normally. left front out
right turn=flashes normally front and back.
left turn= flashes fast in rear and front is out.

EDIT:Yes I tried a different bulb.

Any ideas? HELP!

Maybe a fuse? For some reason your car is thinking that your front left signal is out.

Have you checked inside the socket to see if it is clean and not corroded? Also check the back side of the socket to see if there is any corrosion problem where the wires go in.

And there is no reason for the LEDs to not work - except possibly reverse polarity.

It's not a fuse problem. There is only one fuse that covers all the lamps.

Sometimes with certain leds you have to run resistors in line. Or you will get a fast blinker. Google search it.

When I get my front left socket to work, do you think that these would work fine to A: get them to work in the fronts and B: to stop the fast blinking?

Those are the type of resistors I used for my led bulbs. 4 of them, one for each bulb.
There are some people that also just switch out the flasher relay, which I might eventually do for a cleaner look.

How would you go about doing that?

I didn't really look into it in depth, but I'd probably use something like this.

Maybe I'm over thinking this but where does that plug in?

To make LEDs work in the front, you have to chop off both wires and re-splice them in reverse. Basically, when you cut Wire 1, you reconnect one end of Wire 1 to the other end of Wire 2, and vice-versa. This is the ONLY way LEDs will work in the front turn signals. Been working fine for over 2 years.

Also, to stop the hyper flashing, there is no need to wire in resistors. Get the NISSAN LED flasher relay from autolumination.com, swap it in and there you go.

That's the ONLY way to get the fronts to work? I want to do the least amount of wiring possible.

The LED relay sounds like an easy and cheap fix to the hyper flashing

Yes that's the only way (polarity is wrong on the sockets).
I just did it a couple weeks ago, got the relay as well ($20.99 shipped) and it works nicely, only took me about 5 minutes to rewire.

I recommend using heat-shrink butt connectors (to weatherproof the wires) unless you're going to solder and heat-shrink the wires.

Trust me, I don't like messing with any wires but this wasn't too bad. Just flip the wires and its all done.

Just wondering. This is probably a stupid question.
Can you use the factory bulb after switching the wires in the front?

Yes, incandescent bulbs don't have polarity issues. The filament will still function normally because the same current is passing through it.

Cool thanks!

Any idea on the wire gauge?

+1.

Wire gauge for what? You just cut both wires from the socket off and flip them. You can cut like 2 inches from the bulb socket. No need to add extra wire.
