po138=510 code

Hello i just pick up a 99 maxima non cali exhaust ,i got a check engine light on so i looked it up o2 sensor circuit high voltage bank 1 sensor 2 so what im asking is it the senor after the cat? i seen one above the cat were it goes in the converter just looking for the one after that i need to change,sorry but i am new to this car and had american all my life thanks for any input

Yes, it is the sensor after the cat on a non-California car.

ok thanks for all the info just one question should i go with a denso unit will it hook up with the stock connecter? and the sensor is located how far away from the converter? is it on the drivers side thanks

The exhaust pipe runs down the center of the car. The O2 sensor is approximately even with the finger cup in the door armrest and is screwed in on the side of the pipe facing the driver's side.

I don't have any preferences as to the brand of O2 sensor. The Denso should fit, I think all O2 sensors use the same thread.

thanks i found it i think i am going to with bosch part no 13278 down stream just hoping the connecter is plug and play....
