new to the forums and new to maximas

hey guys ive been reading alot of the forums now for a couple months i just got a 97 maxima gle. i bought it from a guy on craigslist about 5-6 months ago for $1600 with 148xxx on it. it had a few problems and im starting to fix them now. my whole evap system is down, canister went bad and pushed charcoal through all the vacuum lines, ill be doing that this week, but im not going to buy 800 dollars worth of parts from nissan. i bought a junkyard canister for 50 bucks and im hoping it will work. if anyone has had this problem let me know of any tricks i can use to pull all my lines and valves out to clean them. ive also changed my valve cover gaskets cuz they were leaking bad and painted the covers and strut bar red. ill need to be replacing my cv axle seals soon as well. heres some pictures of repairs done/needing done/ and the car itself

new gasket on and rear valve cover bolted on

wow. wish i had found that. im hoping by just replacing the canister and pulling all the lines and valves to clean them out will fix the problem. if not, theres a 98 maxima on the street behind my house that this lady rear ended someone with, broke the radiator and something else. i was gunna offer her 400 bucks and use it as a donor car. 400 for a whole car is better than 800 bucks for 4 or 5 parts any day. i could probably sell the motor for 500ish
